How it all started
KTN cc is a multidisciplinary SME 100 % Namibian-owned company, striving to become the most trusted in providing quality solutions in the field of Electronics, Instrumentations, PLC systems control, electrical maintenance services Crusher maintenance and repair, industrial spare parts supply in Namibia. Our customer base is stretched to our neighboring countries such as South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The company
Our technical team has many years of experience in control systems, rebuilding of diesel-electric haul trucks, hydraulic control, and specialized instrumentation and system integrations (Flameproof and Intrinsically Safe) for process control and remote control applications in hazardous areas.
Our company has grown from a staff of 11 to 35 over the past 4 years with mechanically and electrically qualified personnel as well as apprentice electrical and electronic personnel.
Mr. Piet JP Janse van Vuuren

Mr. Janse van Vuuren, is an Electronic engineer, with over 40 years of experience in electronics design and system controls, in 1993, he started Kulula Technologies in South Africa, a company that is specialized in all kinds of system controls in the industry. In 2012 he open Kulula Technologies Namibia cc. In 1988 all Rossing Haul-Trucks had to be rebuilt and put on trolleys with Digital Control Systems. He was the design engineer and had to implement a DCS controller by removing the original Statex2 GE control cards and interface components.
Mr.Piet designs all the electronic interface cards such as Isolation Amplifiers, Speed input, Ground Fault, PWM, and Firing modules. This was the first DCS system implemented on a Diesel Electric Haul-Truck on a trolley with advanced features such as Road-Speed, Retard Speed Control, and the reducing of the Engine RPM, Automatic Retard in the case of operator loss of control, Preventing the operator reverse after tipping unless the secured sequence is followed and minor improvements to enhance the operator’s safety. Directly after the Rossing Trucks were again instructed to provide a similar DCS system for the upgrading of the old Marathon Le Tourneau Titan Trucks.

Mr. Janse van Rensburg, is well experience in the business environment, with lots of experience in the mining environment. He previously worked for Rotary Engineering before joining Sandvik Namibia, were he worked for more than 11 years as a Crusher specialist. He received his inspector certificate from Sandvik on the Jaw and Cone Crusher range, he was also responsible for the Drifter rebuilds and was the only person in the
whole Crushing and Screening department in Namibia.
His current experience built over the years is from Copper mines, Diamond mines, Gold mines, and Uranium Mines. He was involved in all the different fields from the Front end to recovery areas, during his time spend at Namdeb he worked himself up to an Engineering Foreman level and from there on to Rotary as site manager. During his time at Rotary, he was responsible for all the projects and rebuilds on Drill rigs, Shovels, and Haul trucks. Mr. Janse van Rensburg recently joined Kulula Technologies Namibia cc in 2022 as a business partner. He is responsible for overall project implementation and client supports in the area of Mechanical and Hydraulics.
Mr. Tuutaleni N. Naukushu

Mr. Naukushu is well experience in the business environment, with lots of experience in the mining environment as well as the oil industry, from a background in Electrical and Electronics, he previously worked for Rossing Uranium Limited, and Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine among others, he holds the qualification of Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Engineering Institute of Technology(Australia), a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, an Advance Diploma in Management, as well as a National Trade Diploma in Electrical. Mr. Naukushu joined Kulula Technologies Namibia cc in 2017 as a business partner. He is responsible for overall project implementation and client support in the field of Instrumentation and Electronics as well as Electrical.
